View of east Wellington, from the top of the cable car line.
View of south Wellington. Below is a very big grass field which does not sport football or rugby lines (or goals). The few lines we saw could be for cricket.

The cable car going down.
The cable car going up. It runs once every ten minutes and has four stops including the base and top platforms.
Björne shows us what time it is (18:03). You find today's date among the dates drawn at the "eight" on the platform, stand on it and put your hands over your head. Your shadow then points at the correct time. According to the instructions it is within minutes, but how can you check that at a shadow on a rock? Twice a year the keepers adjust the clock for daylight savings time by moving the metal plaques on the stones. |
